Why Takimu exists
Academic information often ends up spread across spreadsheets, paper records, individual devices and separate communication channels. That makes routine work harder than it needs to be and creates extra pressure when schools need to prepare reports or answer parents quickly.
Takimu is designed to give schools one organized academic workspace from learner registration and daily attendance through assessments, report cards and parent access.
Made for the Kenyan school context
Takimu is built around the structures Kenyan schools already use. The platform follows a three-term academic year, supports competency-based and numeric assessment, and gives school owners, principals, teachers and parents purpose-built views instead of putting everyone into the same dashboard.
The goal is not to add more administration. It is to make the academic work schools already do easier to manage, review and communicate.
